In November 2016, two years after the first edition, MICROTEATRO returned to Rio de Janeiro with the same premises and with a new theme: FOR THE FAMILY. The FAMILY is the microcosm of a society and refers to changes in social structure over time. The choice of this topic was motivated by the questions about its definition, scope and limits. What is a "family"?

The curatorship proposal in the two editions (2014 and 2016) was to bring together artists from different areas and with different creative methods, from dance, performance, cinema and the visual arts. In the second edition, artists created their micro-works in different rooms that together make up a house: the living room, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and service area. In a month of show, MICROTEATRO had an audience of more than 3,800 people, who toured the space of the Castelinho do Flamengo and were able to enjoy 5 different micro-works, the micro-cine show and 3 micro-shows.
